Logic Pro 8 Logic Studio and Mackie 1620i

I just recently purchased a Mac Pro 2.66 Intel Quad w/ 16 gigs of ram and Logic is locking up when I use my Mackie 1620i firewire mixer. I don't have this problem with my Macbook Pro and was hoping someone has any ideas. So far no luck finding info as of this writing. Getting ready to contact Apple and Mackie. Thanks!:eeek:
