Logic Pro 9 Logic unable to open files

Hi,

I recently got hold of a copy of one of the Apple training books for Logic 9 to help me get to grips with it. It comes with a DVD full of lesson files etc, the problem is that Logic can't open any of them (it tells me I should open them in 7.2 or earlier first).
I would have thought that being a book/ DVD based on teaching people the ins and outs of Logic 9, it would contain files usable by Logic 9. Apparently I was wrong. Does anybody know of this happening before or if there's something stupid I may have done?
Logics been updated automatically to 9.1.7, but I still don't see why there should be trouble opening files built to teach this version.

I have used both the Logic 9 books and their content without problem. You don't say if you got this new or used. If used, are you certain that is the correct DVD? Check the creation dates. Also, make sure you transfer the files to your hard drive to use them, don't run them from the DVD.
