Logic Pro X Logic X with Ensonic Mirage as midi controller

I am just getting acquainted with Logic Audio X - purchased last week.

I have a vintage Ensonic Mirage Sampler that I would like to use to input midi notes (at a minimum).

The Logic Audio Software does not "see" the Mirage.

I am using a midi to usb converter between the Mirage and Logic Audio.

I have gone through the Mac "system set-up for midi" with no success.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Exactly what device are you using for a midi interface? does it require drivers?

Is it detected by Audio Midi Setup Utility?

Thanks for your response.

It is a simple inline interface made by iConnect named iConnectMidi1 (Guitar Center). Yes, the iConnect interface is recognized in the Mac midi system set up window. However, the little up/down arrows in that window to not respond or change color when clicked on.

Please advise
