That would be a huge mistake and drawback!
I agree and I'm 200% for keeping the Environment healthy. If Apple had any interest of it they had to develop it in the last 10 years or to fix the bugs at least.
Here are a few prepositions for example:
1. Regarding my deep Environment researches a midi message can travel thru 398 environment cables after that it disappears. It's a serious limitation for the complex Environment tool developers, so it has to be fixed.
2. The Environment objects must support 14bit Fader massages so you can control the new Plugins which use Fader messages above #128.
3. The Channel Strip can not pass thru the midi events sent from some Software Instrument so you can route Midi from one Software Instrument to another or to the Sequencer like you can do in Cubase for example.
4. A "Host Listen" feature will be welcome for real-time objects like the Arppegiator, Touch Tracks etc so you can run them in "Stop" mode etc.
5. Custom UI images and Text Font & Size control for the existing Fader, Buttons etc will be welcome as well.
There lots of things which can be improved or fixed...
It's a pity that Apple do not give a damn about, which makes me thing that they will invest in the new Midi FX developments.
