I personally use an RME HDSPe-AIO pci-e audio interface and I believe that RME makes exceptionally reliable low latency drivers for their interfaces.
However, many of my Logic students who ask me for a recommendation cannot afford RME. I think that the Apogee Duet 2 and One are a remarkably good value for the money sonically but I get very conflicting reports about the state of the drivers.
So 2 questions:
1) If you are using one of these Apogee audio interfaces, how are the drivers behaving for you with Logic Pro 9?
2) Are you using a different very affordable audio interface with Logic Pro 9 that you think sounds good and has a very reliable low latency driver ?
