Logic Pro 9 low latency mode and low volume

Just wondering if this happens on anyone else's system. When I engage low-latency mode (playing Omnisphere), the instrument volume drops to less than half. I don't mean the fader moves, I mean it just gets really quiet. Is this normal?

A spontaneous thought - do you have some dynamic plugin, such as a look ahead limiter, in your signal chain which is raising the signal level, but which low latency mode is bypassing?
