LogicX Toolkit PRO

The LogicX Toolkit PRO is designed to improve your workflow bringing it to a higher level. The bundle includes extra Midi FX plugins, Environment Tools; EXS24 Articulation Switching Presets; Transform Presets; Logic A.G Templates; Tutorial Videos and Documentation.

A.G Midi FX plugins

Midi Channel Switcher PRO
You can use this midi tool to switch the incoming midi channel into any channel/patch 1-16 with multi-timbral Software Instruments such as Omnisphere, Kontakt etc, hardware midi devices or to switch the EXS24 articulations on the fly. The Midi Channel Switcher offers up to eight switching methods via KS, Prg. Change, CC, Performance Speed, Round Robin, Random, Velocity and via direct Patch/Channel Name. The plugin supports custom Patch Name assignment for all midi channels
1-16.

Expression Mapper (Logic Expression Maps utility)
The Expression Mapper allows you to assign custom names for a given Instrument Key Switches (KS) and draw or record Logic track based automation which is shown as text names according to the Instrument KS specifics.

Multi Channel Transposer
The Multi Channel Transposer offers 16 parameters for transposing midi channels
1-16 individually, plus a global transpose parameter. The "Transpose All" parameter transposes all channels globally, keeping the transposition parameter settings
Ch.1-16 ratio. The plugin supports custom Patch Name assignment for all midi channels 1-16.

CC DUO
The CC DUO gives you the chance to control any hardware midi device via the Software Instrument "External Plugin" or to use the Logic "DLS MD" general midi Software Instrument (or other Multi-timbral Software Instruments) without any issues caused by CC7 & CC10. You can control the midi device Program Change, Volume & Pan for Ch.1-16 directly from the track inspector in the Main Window.

A.G Environment Tools

Midi Channel Switcher (Pre-Sequencer)
The Midi Channel Switcher Environment Tool is a global Pre-Sequencer utility which can transform the incoming midi channel into any midi channel 1-16 via Key switches or Program Change midi messages. You can assign a unique midi channel 1-16 (if Logic is in Multi Player Mode) for the mono-timbral Logic Instruments such as: ES1, ES2, EPiano etc, arm their "R" track buttons and switch these instruments in real time without track selection dependence.

Key Switches to Control Change (KS to CC Tool)
The "KS to CC" is a small Environment tool which transforms midi Note Key Switches into custom Control Change number values. The "KS to CC" is a helper (Pre-Sequencer) utility which is designed to be used with the "A.G Ch.Switcher " MIDI FX plugin.

A.G EXS24 Articulation Switching Presets

The A.G EXS24 Articulation presets are specially customized Channel Strip user sets
which allow you to switch the articulations of the EXS24 multi articulation instruments
"+" via the A.G Switcher PRO. Each Channel Strip preset loads an EXS24
Instrument plus a correspondent A.G Switcher PRO instance which is specially customized for that instrument (including articulation names). This collection comes with a standard Mac installer. After the installation the Presets appear in the Logic library browser.

A.G Transform Presets

The A.G Transform Presets are programmed to process multiple midi regions simultaneously via the Logic Transform window. The Presets collection is designed to delete or backup and restore midi messages such as: CC7, CC10, CC91 and Program Change in one go.
This Preset bundle is essential for "cleaning up" the midi regions which are imported from a Standard Midi File.

A.G Logic Templates

It is a rich collection of Logic Template projects which are specially designed for the A.G Toolkit PRO. The Templates are organized thematically and placed in different folders labeled as Demo Song, EXS24, Enviro & Transform Sets, Muti-Timbral Instruments, GM-DLS MD etc. All Templates come with detailed A.G Information or Instructions shown in the Logic Note pad.

Thanks Peter! It seems that I have named the product correctly - PRO, so the professionals like you can see the Logic power in that as well as those who want to go pro

Hi Colin,

May ask you something. What about the flash video streaming in your place?
Could you watch both videos without drop outs etc? I'm asking because a guy from another Logic forum here posted that Video 2 is not working so I had to post the direct Quick Time Download Video links there. I just check out the videos with Firefox, Chrome, IE and they are fine...
Thanks

I have not-so-great bandwidth here, so I had to pause the video and wait a few minutes before it would play without gaps.

I don't think it's a browser problem, just that HD video needs good speeds...

Thanks a lot for the test Colin! By the way each Video is about 60-70 Mb. This is nothing for 1280x720 HD video using 256bps audio stream. There is a Quick Time Download link at the bottom of each video player by the way.
OK here are the Quick Time HD Video Download links for those who have poor ner connections:

PS. I'll update the head topic with these links as well.

Hello,

The A.G Expression Mapper has been updated to v1.1. The update is designed for users who want to optimize the SET Key Switch amount shown in the Automation SET # Key Switch lane or in the SET # Key Switch parameter menu. The optimization will give you more room in the Automation lane to adjust your keyswitches. The differences between each step will be visually clearer, there will be less items to sort through, and adjustments with the mouse in the Track Automation lane will be easier. This update is FREE for all existing users.

BTW. Audiogrocery is in test period of the upcoming Expression Mapper TWO. It is a totally different version which will offer supper powerful features such as: Multiple MIDI messages Map sending (KS + Prg + several CCs etc) per single Automation node; Continuous Automation of the UI Map parameters, MIDI remote control of the Multi Maps and the Continuous Automation parameters etc. The EM 2 will be FREE for all existing users. Stay tuned.

I have purchased the A.G Toolkit PRO recently and I'm quite happy with it.
It's really great that the Audiogrocery has mapped out the different EXS24 articulations for the different instruments and it's readily available right from the browser. I have a question about the Chinese Erhu Violin preset.
Is there a way to Time Stretch the Bend Up/Down and the Vibrato separately somehow, so that it fits with the song I'm working on?

Hi,
EXS24 does not have any Time Stretch engine like Kontakt TMP (Time Machine Pro) for example.
Here is the EXS24 Alternative. Have a look at the image below and follow the steps:
1. I show a C3 Bend Up example. Draw a MIDI note using the pitch you need for your project ( if need more pitches, create several midi regions). The midi note length must be quite enough so the sample must play to the end (it depends on the Project Host Tempo/BPM).
2. Right click the midi region and select "Bounce in Place". A new Audio Track will be created with the bounced audio region.
3. Select the Audio Track and enable "Flex".
4. Create two Flex Markers only in the Sample Editor. One for Bend timing control and one for the Vibrato timing control.
Example: If you want to speed up the Bend, move the 1st Flex Marker to the left (Note: the Vibrato will slow down). To compensate the Vibrato move the 2nd Flex Marker to the left or adjust it according your Host Tempo to be able to synchronize it (use your music feeling for that).
Hope this will help.

Hey Tangra, if you are going to teach people using Logic Pro X, use the correct terminology. It is no longer the Sample Editor, it is the Audio File Editor 🙂

You're addressing one of the most accomplished masters of Logic's Environment, and this is the best you can come up with?

Why did you even bother making this comment?
For those who read the web, "Nevermind" was revealing enough.

Not impressed! :stpp:

a ) It was a joke, no disrespect intended, indicated by the smiley face. As Tangra well knows, Apple totally changed the terminology for Logic Pro X to be more consistent with Garageband, which is a pita for those of use who teach it.

b) I am the author of 3 well-reviewed and well-regarded Logic Pro books, a Certified Trainer, and I contribute 2 articles a month to MacProVideo's Hub, one of which is almost always Logic related.

So I think I have earned the right to treat him as a peer. That said, again, it was meant as joke and my guess is that of he reads it, he will chuckle.
