Mac OS Sierra update

Sierra 10.12.6

So, I’m from the school of “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it”… Now I’ve finally hit the wall where I’m forced to update my Mac Mini /Sierra. My desperate questions are
A) Will my Logic Pro X work with an updated Mac?
B) How many OS’s will I need to go to still be able to use my Mac Mini? Can I get Hi Sierra /Mojave anywhere? My installer says the updates I had for my Mac are not working for either of them…
B) I noticed a new Mac Mini out there but it has way less features than my old one… will I need a different Mac?
I am so illiterate when it comes to computers and the inner workings! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

A good starting point would be to. know which model mac mini you have. In order to establish which OS version you can install on it, you may wish to compare it to these:
