Mac Pro 2009 Ram upgrade 24GB Triple or 32GB Dual?

I just bought a second hand Mac Pro 2x2,66Ghz 8-Core Nehalem 2009 with 6x1GB Ram installed.
i want to upgrade to 24GB or 32GB of Ram.
what will be best?

1) 6x4GB for 24GB Triple Channel
2) 3x8GB for 24GB "Single Triple Channel"
3) 8x4GB for 32GB Dual Channel

i've heard that Triple Channel will be better than Dual Channel, but will it be really better if i choose 6x4GB/24GB for Triple Channel instead of 8x4GB/32GB for Dual Channel?

Also i've heard that placing 6 Ram Sticks for Triple Channel will be better than placing 3 Sticks. is that right? are 6x4GB ram sticks better than 3x8GB sticks for triple channel?

just want to know which is best before i buy some Ram.

i've been using my Mac Pro only for Audio productions with Logic Pro 9/Kontakt/Omnisphere/...
