In the toolbar if one control/clicks (or right clicks), the ensuing shortcut menu shows the item "keep item visible". I can't figure out what this does, nor can I find any documentation on it. Anyone got this figured out?

I finally figured out it has to do with getting so many icons in your toolbar that they start getting forced off screen. By using the keep visible feature said icon will not go off screen, rather the icon to its left will be forced off (assuming it's not protected with keep visible as well).
