Logic Pro 9 Managing software latency

Hi

NI Guitar Rig has a massive latency between playing a guitar string and hearing the note. What is the best way of cancelling out the lag so that one can play live to the metronome beat and yet remain in sync with the beat 'as recorded' on the audio track?

Decrease your I/O buffer size in your audio preferences, and make sure you have no large latency causing plug-ins... press on the "low Latency Mode" icon on your transport bar as well... this will bypass the "bad" plug-ins that cause more than a small amount of latency.
