Logic Pro 9 Mastering and Volume Loss

Can anyone help,

After I mix a track, all of the volumes are crisp and loud in Logic. However, when I bounce track then burn to a CD there is literally about a 40% volume reduction on the CD Version. I tried raising the volume of the whole track on the output strip and bounced it again but on the CD the track loses an insane amount of volume still. Is there a trick to not losing such volume on the bounce?

Thanks Everyone!🙂

Just to rule out the obvious - are you monitoring your CD output through the same physical outputs you monitor Logic through?

Another thought is that if your master fader or main output fader is set to anything other than 0dB this change will reflect in the bounced file. So if your master was at -10dB your bounced audio file and thus your CD would be -10dB.

The master fader or main output fader in logic should never be used as a control room volume knob or you'll always have this issue.
