Logic Pro measure of 1 beat showing up after time change

Well, this is strange. I have a piece that's in 4/4 , and I added in a measure of 3/4 and then a measure of 4/4. After the 4/4 measure there is a measure of just 1 beat. What can be causing this? Thanks in advance.

This is very strange. The above problem was happening in a place where there were 2 separate regions. I glued them together, then I used the eraser tool on a bar line, remembering I had inserted a bar line at one point. Now the measures look correct. I had split the track so that I could use a polyphonic score style in one measure, but not in the rest of the measures. I'm still not really clear on using polyphonic score styles. Seems like you have to do a split, otherwise, the whole track would use whatever setting I selected.

In bars 40 and 41 - in 4/4 time you had 8 beats.
When you changed measure 40 to 3/4 - you now have 7 beats total leaving an extra beat. Shorten the region by one beat to remove the extra rest. There should be no reason insert bar lines -

Thanks Volovicg. It makes sense what you said. I hope I didn't mess up the score by gluing 2 regions together and erasing the bar line, rathing than doing what you suggested.

So Volovic, if I'm understanding this correctly, the time changes in the score editor are not reflected in the region in the tracks window. So I need to remove a beat or beats in the region to have this work properly. If I'm changing a time signature from 4/4 to 2/4, I'd need to remove two beats in the region? Or if I'm going from 4/4 to 3/4 I'd need to remove one beat? Is this right? And then I'd need to drag the region on the right of the split next to the region on the left? Should I then glue them together or doesn't that matter. Thanks.

correct and it doesn't matter if you glue them together or not. You only need to move the region if you have already recorded or input the score/notes in a different time signature. If you change the time signature as you go then the adjustment occurs naturally. If I have 12 quarter notes in 4/4 time - I would have 3 measures of 4 beats. If after I have all those notes scored in 4/4 time and then decide to change it the entire piece to 3/4 time... I would have 4 measure of 3 beats (the notes get regrouped per measure based on the TS. If you are changing in the middle of the piece then you either will have extra shifted right or less notes shifted left... So you need to make a region adjustment...
