How can I merge two midi tracks into one for puposes of making a score? Ideally I need the lower sounding track to have stems down and the upper part stems up.
I want these two tracks

How can I do that?
Thank you in advance.

It's a long time since of done this, but you will end up needing a polyphonic staff style, which means the upward stems will need to be assigned a different MIDI channel to the downward stems (e.g. you do that in the event lists)

Upward stems channel 1
downward stems channel 2

They should retain those when you merge the regions ( select both and use key command = J)

After merging assign the result region in the score widow to a polyphonic style e.g. Piano 1+2/3

You'll note this staff style has a bass clef you don't want, so just go to the menu Layout > Show staff styles. choose that style select the bass clef at the bottom and delete it.
