Logic Pro Midi Controller

I'm looking for a midi controller for Logic Pro X that requires minimal mapping. The three on my short list are the : Novation Impulse, Novation SLMk2 and the Akai MPK249.
I would appreciate any advice or alternative suggestions.

Regards: Peter

I've used both the Novation keyboards, the Impulse is my current one. Automap works pretty well. You don't need to go in and remap things if your don't want to. If you do want to, it's a little bit of work, but nothing overwhelming.

Of the two, I think the Impulse is slightly less intimidating to dig into than the SL Mk ll; should you ever choose to go under the hood.

I use the Novation SLMk-II for few years now and I'm quite satisfied with it.
I agree with Eli about Automap, which could be also customized if desired. The keyboard is fairly ok unless you are an accomplished pianist, the keys are not weighted and could be more precise velocity response wise. I would not reccommend it for intensive tour use but remains very useful and reliable in a home studio, thanx to its MIDI controls variety.
BTW, Eli published an excellent tutorial for the SLMk-II on Groove3
