Logic Pro 9 MIDI off causing audible sound from computer

I wish I could answer as many questions as I ask here!

I have finally set up external MIDI on new computer and am hearing a little *plink* sound coming from my computer when I release note on kbd. It doesn't sound when I start playing the note, on;y when I stop.

Any help in making this sound stop would be appreciated.
