Bizarre one this. I opened an older project to find that the 'Female Vocal Shouts.EXS was missing. It's possibly a legacy sample or something, but it was definitely there in 2015. I don't suppose anyone might have this or some way or idea of how to locate it? I've tried searching everywhere.

Could this be a third party or custom-made instrument? Perhaps located on external drive that isn't currently connected? That instrument is not in the Logic 9 or newer factory library.

Glad that you got sent the samples, but you may have already had them. At some point in time, Logic's "old" sampler instruments were moved to a folder named "Legacy instruments".
Look here:
/Library/Application Support/Logic/EXS Factory Samples/10 Legacy Instruments
When you're in Logic, you can use the Library Browser to locate these Legacy instruments.
