Logic Pro 9 Missing "something"

Been using Logic for 4 years now. I have come to love working in Logic. I get a lot done very well in a reasonable amount of time. I've studied & read & studied & experimented along the way. Still do.

But feels like I am missing "something". My mixes just don't sound/feel like I think they should. Like the stereo spectrum isn't as wide & deep (especially on the low end) as it should be to my ear. I tend to keep things simple, don't over effect things & keep compression & reverb to a minimum so things don't get washed out. I mix down in Logic & master in Waveburner. Technically, it's all good clean signal, etc...

Hope I am making sense here. Any suggestions/advice would be appreciated. TIA 🙂

Merry Christmas!

Have you tried listening to your mixes on a different set of monitors? Also you could think about the actual acoustic properties of your room. Maybe some treatment to your room could help you reveal things about your mixes that you are not hearing now.

Valid stuff to consider. Thanks for the suggestions. 🙂
