Mixer - Option to Hide Muted Tracks

The mixer (when in adaptive mode, that is, set to "Arrange") should have an additional selectable View option for muted tracks.

In general I do not wish to see muted tracks in the Mixer, but want to keep alternate takes, already bounced audio instrument tracks, etc, around.

Right now, the only way I know of to remove muted tracks from the Mixer is to use the "Hide" function. A simple option to "View Muted Tracks" in the View menu of the mixer would give additional flexibility.

A problem comes in if you use the mute/solo mode in which track solo/mute and channel strip solo/mute are unlinked. If you muted a track, then didn't see it in the Arrange, you couldn't unmute it without making those tracks visible again. One of the main points of channel strip solo/mute is that it's instantaneous, so that during playback, you can mute/solo at will to take tracks in or out of the playback without any delays or glitches. If the muted tracks were not in view, that would not be possible...

Orren,

I was referring to hiding the channel strip in the Mixer, rather than hiding the track in the Arrange.

By the way, even when set to "Fast", I find that the solo/mute is far from instantaneous. Similarly with edits - say, moving the position of a region during playback. Sometimes there is a delay of as much as 5 seconds before the state change is audible! As far as I can tell, this is a problem with large projects. This may or may not be related to having a large number of active Kontakt instances...I haven't traced the root of the problem yet. I wonder if others are experiencing this.
