Logic Pro (X) Mixer page question

Logician
Sometimes I find that I have fewer strips than I expect to see, and there's an arrow top left which, when I click it, returns me to the full complement.

What causes the reduced view, and how can I control what I see?

I am not using any folders.

Doug:

Whenever I enter text for a 'Quick reply' I get this alert:

> Your submission could not be processed because the token has expired.
> Please push the back button and reload the previous window.

I am logged in and can navigate to my account, no problem.

Every time I try to resend I get the same alert.

This has happened before, it's a drag. Any ideas?

As for the folder issue, I'll study the manual :)

It's happened again. I checked my Key Commands, and there are no folder commands.

On closer inspection, it's exactly as if only the 'Aux' button was selected top right of Mixer, showing /only/ aux strips.

If I wanted that sub-display consistently, I'd click <Alt-click> on the aux button (try it) but...

if I do that, the triangle top left doesn't work.

very confusing, I'm going to bed,,,,

Admins can help with this, I hope....I'm clueless.

Followed that, can replicate.

Lost me here - it's the up arrow box? It doesn't work to bring back your track view. I just think it's used when dealing with folders.

Maybe post a screen swipe?

Maybe post a screen swipe?

OK, when I launched the project today, the mixer showed the strange strip selection.
Notice:

1. they are only aux strips
2. in the top of the page 'Tracks' and all the RH options are selected.
IOW I should be seeing all used strips.
see file: <aux strips only>
3. top left is the arrow which I understand to be 'go up one layer of filepath' - or as you suggest, 'exit folder'

I will now click that arrow.

(later)

see <Full Strip set> file. In fact the strips extend to the right onto my next monitor.

1. notice that top of page selection is identical to the above: 'Tracks' and all the RH options are selected

Finally, I'll select 'Aux only'

see file: <Aux only selected>

1. notice that the selection options at the top of the page are different to the first example above and
2. there is no active folder arrow top left.

hope that sequence makes more sense

Why the project should open in this bizarre way beats me atm.

Peter,

Your screenshots are so small it's impossible to see any details.
?? Try posting larger ones...

yes, when I checked they were flagged as 'thumbnails', so I assumed that they would pull up the full screen versions when anyone else looked.
These files are full screen on my mac - why would they show up as thumbs on this board?

I converted from .png to .jpeg and they still show up as thumbs, and about 5% of the filesize!

d'Oh! Something new to learn every day! :)

How do I upload fullsize images?

(later) hey! these also show up as tiny thumbs on my preview post!

ah, perhaps a fullscreen .png or .jpeg exceeds the width limit for Attachment Manager.

Will try .pdf.zip --- success! :)

Pete,

Thanks for taking the time to post the pictures - these are much better. Unfortunately, I'm pretty much clueless at this point as to why this occurs.

Is it on all projects or just the one? And does it do it every time on this one? Some type of corruption is all I can think of. I have had some weird things happen bringing in a L9 project, but not like that.
