Logic Pro modulation overdub deletes region?

Hi

Im having some issue with modulation wheel overdubs deleting previously recorded regions that are looped....

Can someone guide me as to the proper settings for cycle recording with overdubs that won't blast previous stuff thats looping?

ah... maybe answered my own question... I converted the loops to region... yes? now they are not loops that get dissipated when overdubs?
