Logic Pro Moving samples from external to system drive

I'm upgrading to X (from 9) in a few weeks and my Apple loops and Soundtrack Pro loops are on an external drive. Orren and others have suggested that it is best to have these files on the system drive. What's the most sensible option for my situation? In this thread gdoubleyou says he let LPX move them to his system drive:

Does the installer offer to do this? Or is there a command within LPX that offers this functionality?

The Logic content was no problem, my large library of 3rd party and custom Apple Loops caused the issues.

Also depends on the size of your system drive, I have a 750GB Momentus hybrid drive.

OK, I have the hard drive space. But how do I actually get them to their new home? Will Logic X move them or do I have to drag them to a new location? And if so what is the proper location?

Thanks,

Jim
