Logic Pro 9 MultiMeter not displayed

I see from Logic Pro Help that a MultiMeter should be available as a plug in. However, when I click 'insert' it does not appear. I would expect it under 'metering' but all I see is BPM Counter, Level Meter, and Tuner. How do I find the MultiMeter plugin?

You need to have a stereo object (Audio or Audio Instrument) - then you'll see the Multimeter. You've probably selected a mono strip.
