Logic Pro Multiple instances of Maschine in LPX

I'm using a Late 2012 13-inch MacBook Pro i7, 4GB RAM, 1TB HDD, and I'm often running Maschine in LogicPro X sessions as a plug-in. I've run into this odd situation where the Maschine Mikro MK2 hardware won't recognize the first instance of Maschine activated, just the second (and latest) one. Has anyone using Maschine encountered this before, and was there a way to "force" the hardware and ALL Maschine plug-in instances to recognize one another?
