Logic Pro (X) Mute Notes/Regions

I've been using M forever to mute notes, regions, etc. In 10.7.4 velocity 80 in step input keyboard has higher priority. Seriously? Who uses this?

Reverted to Logic 9 prefs. Problem solved.

Are you really sure you can load L9 preferences into L10 ?

Anyway, in L10.5.1 I can assign M to both functions, and it works properly, either Mute or Set vel80, depending on which window has focus.

Yes, the L9 prefs loaded in with no problem. I hadn't had any problems with that function until I fired up 10.7.4 on my new computer. I can't take credit for the solution: I talked to a very helpful guy at Apple, who came up with the idea.
