Logic Pro (X) Need help accessing CoreMIDI

Hei, hei -

When I upgraded to 10.4.8, I started receiving this message when ever I open a project:
"Error Initializing CoreMIDI" - then the side note: "MIDI Services not available."
I can't access the midi loops I once could. I can access midi patches in the Library, but they are very minimal and a lot of the patches I used to see aren't there.

I want to upgrade to the latest version of Logic Pro X, but I want to finish my Album first, instead of upgrading my OS in the middle of this project. Last time I did, there were a bunch of glitches and I can't afford the time for that to happen right now. (I'm on High Sierra 10.13.6 but the new Logic Pro X requires Mojave 10.14.6 or higher).

Can anyone explain this CoreMIDI message to me and a possible fix?

Thanx in advance.

Best,
Bambi Wolf

Try this:
First, open the AudioMIDI Setup Utility, make sure the MIDI window is visible and that any connected devices appear as active.
Next, start up Logic.

This may or may not work, but it is a common trouble shooting workaround.
