Logic Pro X new mac mini - good enough for Logic Pro X?

I have been using an Early 2011 MacBook Pro for my Logic Pro X. It works but I fear it's on its last legs. When I want to record, I bring my laptop to my studio and connect it to a TV for a large monitor. I've always thought a mac Mini would be a good solution for a permanent computer in the studio, where I could continue to use the TV as the monitor. But in the past, the mac Mini was not seen as powerful enough. How does the new mac Mini look for running Logic Pro X? Any recommendations for a good configuration?

The 6 core i7 Mac mini will do remarkably well in your studio. 16GB of RAM. Probably want at least 512GB SSD, but 1TB makes it easier. Will make your 2011 MBP seem, uhhh, ancient

I'm thinking of getting a new Mac Mini to replace my old cheesegrater tower - I've read it's the tiny powerhouse we've been waiting for!
