New MacPros on the horizon...

Here in NYC, we've been hearing that since yesterday, all the Apple Stores were pulling their inventory of Mac Pros off the shelves.
Will the tower be getting an upgrade?

That would be great since I've heard from some pretty reliable sources that the MP line was dead and buried.

Yeah, I've been hearing the same too but rumors are what they are...

They actually did a speed and ram bump up, nothing like a cpu or new form factor, and it wasn't really announced, rather just on the store site.

As of yesterday, the Apple Mac page listed the Mac Pro tower as "New" after one day, it is no longer listed as new.
Also, conspicuously missing are USB 3.0 and Thunder-Bolt which the MacBook Pros are armed with.
This was a sad and awkward way to let the public know that Apple really does not care about their once flag-ship computer.
Macbook's are fine but simply do not have the flexibility and expandability that towers have.
I would have rathered they just let the MacPros fade away gracefully than this.
Just my 2 cents.
