Logic Pro 8 No Audio Input? Motu 2408 mkII

Hi, just wondering if any of you could help me step back from the ledge

I am using Logic Studio on Mac an ASP008 pre via adat into the motu 2408 I see it metering on the unit but nothing in logic...

I can hear software synths etc.. from logic via the motu so that rules out the outputs.... but no physical input metering or noise is happening within logic

I have checked audio midi settings and all is ok, logic is seeing and using the 424 card etc...

What have I missed?

Have you designated the ASP008 as master clock and used the MOTU software to set the 2408 for external ADAT sync?

In this setup the ASP008 will be the digital clock master and the MOTU sample rate/clock will slave to that.

Unless you're using a wordclock generator driving both units.
