I wasn't sure if I should post this here or over in Studio Techniques....
I had our lead guitar player lay down some tracks using an acoustic (steel string) guitar for a couple of Logic 8 Express projects. He didn't use a pick, rather he used finger picking for these lead guitar solos and melody background fills.
I am hearing what I can only describe as a "click" type sound, which is caused by the fingers picking or plucking the strings in the tracks. It is pretty evident on playback.
Is there any way to remove or at least limit this noise in the tracks before I finalize the mix and bounce to MP3?
Being a guitar player myself, I realize this is inherent to the finger picking style of playing. But I'd really like to minimize it on the final cut of the song before we distribute it.
Thanks for any and all advice!
