Logic Pro 9 Not able to input any notes in a software instrument track

I am having a problem that seems project specific, as i don't have it on any other projects I am working on. I all of the sudden can't input any notes in a existing software instrument track, or a new software instrument track. Tried my caps lock keyboard as a option and it won't work, no note information on the transport bar even. My M audio keyrig 49 does not work either. Please help! Thanks- Jon

Could this be a corrupted project? Does it all work when working on a new song?
