Old Mac (synth) Plug-ins

I found a few old Mac synthesizer plug-ins that seem to be "Public Domain".
These include...Diva, TyrellN6Mac, Zebra252, ZoydUB and a few more. They are listed in my Logic (Audio Units Manager) some as Midi control effects and some as Instruments...all were "successfully validated"!

I tried to get them into Logic (to play as synths) but to no avail.
I did come across one way of getting them to come up...using an old 3rd party Mac drum software called..."Oscillating Rhythms" (Impromptu) which is basically a drum machine (programmer). It also can use EZ Drummer (demo) which came with my Korg NanoKontrol2 unit. If I open the "audio unit" section the synths above are all listed and can create some real strange drum rhythms, great..."Oscillating Rhythms" has a Record function...and I can record (even while editing the synth parameters of Diva, Tyrell, Zebra, etc.

What I'd like to know is why doesn't Logic see them or able to bring up those synths as plug-ins? There are listed in the (Audio Unit Manager) list as successfully validated...

Does anyone have any ideas? thanks

Sorry if I am misenterpreting your use of the term "public domain", but FYI, Diva, and Zebra are NOT free. You need to purchase a licence to use them. If, after that, you still have trouble running them in Logic, Urs will I am sure be happy to help.

If you mean "kracked" by "Public Domain" all I can say is, unlike some developers, Urs' "U-he" is a 2 or 3 person business, someone who really goes that extra step for his customers. His products are very well priced, and are some of the very best software synths out today.

If you plug-ins from U-he are "borrowed", "kracked" or whatever, PLEASE go and buy the legit thing.

If we don't make sure to buy our favorite plug-ins, there will be no developers. We will see the exact same thing that happened to the music business: the thing is in shambles, and it is getting impossible to make money from making music. it may have been difficult before, but now... well good luck. The same thing can and will happen with 3d party software plug-ins and applications that we use as tools to make our music. They will become a thing of the past.

We need to support these companies by buying the products they develop, not stealing them. Simple as that.
 
I checked the u-ha plug-ins!

Well, I guess I'm at fault. The ones I have I downloaded from the u-ha website. They are Demo's except for two that are Freeware. So, I guess that's why they don't show up in Logic, although the were scanned and are successfully validated by AU manager O.K. thanks for the info. No they aren't "kracks".
 
Actually, the demo versions (the normal versions that haven't been purchased) should work fine in Logic. Are you adding an instrument track?

Also, did you boot Logic in 32 bit mode before you went to 64 bit mode? Logic needs to scan everything at 32 bit before it can be seen in Logic. That could be your issue.

Like I said, I wasn't saying they "were" kracked, just that if they were, please buy them. I'm pretty sure that you are going to like them, in fact I have yet to meet or show them to a client who hasn't bought them after doing the demo.
