Logic Pro 8 Orange lock in score window

Can anyone tell me what I can do with these orange lock symbols (since Logic 8) in the page view of the score window, and how I can get rid of them? I often make movies with SnazProX from the things happening on the screen, and I'd like to remove them. Thanks, Bart.

Are you referring to the Link button (top left) ?
That's been there forever.....

I don't see any other lock symbols here. Can you upload a screenshot?

You'll create the padlocks when you use the layout tool, changing the number of bars per line. Page 770 in manual explains a little of this.

Thanks Doug, but do you happen to know how these locks can be unlocked or hidden? After all, such a symbol doesn't mean anything if you can not unlock it for instance. I tried clicking it with ctrl, option and command keys, but it doesn't react at all...

You can delete by using the eraser tool, BUT, that will restore to original format, something you may not want. They don't show up in the printed part.

nteresting.... I've never seen this.

I brought in some projects from L7 that I had printed parts from and needed to be revised. They showed up then, without me touching the project, forcing me to figure out what they were.

There's always something still to learn in Logic!

Amen to that!

You're welcome.

Also, noticed you posted on David's forum (Logic Pro Help). As a courtesy you might post there again what works so far for you.

Reasons:

Others will learn from reading post with followup solution.

It keeps those who answer posts on multiple forums happy to know they haven't wasted their time answering a post thats been handled elsewhere.

the lock disappears and the line reformats simply when I change a single note to force syncopation. The lock is useless unless it preserves the format whatever editing I do.
