Logic Pro 8 Patch Select Lists in Logic 8?

How do you set up Logic 8 to be able to select patch names and bank changes from within the software? I would appreciate any help with resolving this issue. I want the native instruments but I also want to be able to use my keys and modules the way I have been in the older versions of Logic.
