petition regarding Apple´s secrecy - now online.

Hey putte good Idea .I put this through a spell checker to correct a few glitches.I'm still not sure of some of the punctuation and phrasing.I think it'd be best to have someone with more skills to go over and edit it tighter. All the best with this.

Dear Apple and developers of Logic Pro,

This comes from passionate users of Logic Pro and Logic Express, your flagships in the Pro Audio department.Since Logic has been in your hands many users feel an increasing frustration regarding the lack of bug fixes, as well as the total lack of communication and support.

As there are large gaps between Logic Pro updates users would just like to have the feeling that the application is being worked on.All we´re asking for is a little official information coming from your side from time to time. We simply want to know that you care.

We´re not asking you to reveal future road maps or secrets, it could be a blog, or a person posting in your official Apple discussion forum. We think that your policy of secrecy surrounding your pro audio apps is not adequate for such a high end Pro Audio software, and we are hoping for a little change.

You really are a very rude individual, aren't you?
Whilst I feel that online petitions are almost always spectacularly ineffective I am someone who enjoys putte's music very much and feel that his point of view deserves respect since he has been a valued contributor to several Logic lists and fora for many years now. It is a shame you felt the need to be so brusque to a fellow musician and a long time and fairly well known Logic user.

hey, horselesspaul, I see nothing offensive at all in ButchGTR, post. Not even a hint of diss. He thinks the petition is a good idea and repairs some typos. Perhaps you should read it again?

I agree with the sentiments of the petition and would not sign it as it has several typos.

here is my version ( 3 minor edits):

Hi Peter,

Actually, if you look there is a deleted post that was removed by an administrator that was very harsh on Putte. We don't except that sort of rudeness here, and that's what horselesspaul was commenting on, not ButchGTR's post. Sorry for the confusion!

And btw, I think the release of the new Logic Studio, Putte's timing is actually perfect. For at least a while, Apple will be more interested to see how their "new baby" is being received. That's not to say that a petition will or won't have more effect on anything, but it's better than just "out of the blue."

Yes, that was me, I've added a note to horselesspaul's post to clarify, sorry for any confusion.

I also think a petition is not a bad idea, whether they will read it I don't know, but even if the top brass don't, I'm sure someone from Apple may see it. Can't do any harm at the very worst.
