Logic Pro 9 Piano Roll Info Display Not Showing Pitch And Position

SUMMARY:
When using the Pencil Tool in the Piano Roll editor, the Info Display will show the Midi instrument I'm working on but doesn't follow the pitch and position of the tool as it is supposed to. The only time it shows is when playback is started and it only updates to where the Pencil Tool was positioned at the time playback was started. Is there a Pref Setting that I'm just missing or is this a bug? I've closed the project and restarted everything, but it still continues. I would like to have that display properly because it is pretty handy.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Created a software instrument track
2. Used the Pencil Tool in the Arrange window to create a two-bar loop
3. Enabled the Pencil Tool as my left-click tool in the Piano Roll Editor window
4. Moved around the Editor

RESULT:
The Info Display window shows nothing until I start playback. Then it only shows the position of the Pencil Tool at the time of playback and won't update until I stop and start playback again.

Thanks for the info.

I searched the forum for this particular problem but I must have missed that thread. It seems somewhat related. At least I know I'm not alone. I've already reported it to Apple.
