Logic Pro 9 Pitch bend again

I have made a bit of headway on pitch bend but still don't understand it completely.

I'm using EXS24 strings (ensemble legato) and have opened that window. Whether I've set it up correctly I don't know but I set "Dest" as pitch, Via as key and Src as Pitch Bend. It works but is this right? I've set the thingies to the right which I assume sets the range but am not sure and pitch to 4 and the thing to its right as 0 rather than link. Sorry, don't know the terminology.

Glide is set to "short" and "pitcher to "port".

I've not been able to get any reply to this topic to my surprise but have posted these new versions of older files with only the first featuring pitch bends as well as I could do them. The other two are for the use of the plug-ins (reverb,modulation etc.)

All you need are the default EXS24 settings, see attached, the only thing you need to change is the range. Default is 2 as shown in the image.

I wasn't too off and my version worked pretty well but I may as well do it in the prescribed manner.
