Logic Pro Playback from file comes out 1 speaker from headphone jack.

Playback from file comes out 1 speaker from headphone jack. The internal computer speakers are in stereo. I record live events with two condenser mics, in a x/y pattern. I go through a scarlett 2x2 . I record each input mono to stereo out. Why do I only hear one speaker when using headphones or connecting to a system for playback?
