Logic Pro 9 Plugin Windows Disappear

I'm using Logic 9 and trying to send midi to a plugin from another application. When I switch to the other application, all of Logic's plugin windows disappear. I've been searching everywhere and it seems like there was an option in Logic 7 to instantiate a plugin in a non-floating window (so it stayed visible even when Logic did not have focus). Does anyone know if this possible in Logic 9? Thanks.

I'm having the same issue with Logic 9.

Just upgraded form Logic 7.2 and seems that there's no way to make the plugins "float" when Logic loses focus.

Will let you know if I have any joy.
