I have Logic 9 express and have midi sequences that I created,I am trying to get them into a roland SD-50 Standard Midi Player.
I have tried both the USB thumb driver to open the SMF files exported from Logic to the SD-50 and I exported them as type 1 midi and opened them in the Sonar LE that came with the SD-50, in both case the logic midi files where modified from their original timing.
I use midi regions and normalized and midi region destructive quantise.I merged and consolidated the midi tracks using select all and exported as midi..
I have both exported with the above processing and without and the timing problems occur each way. I am doing something wrong or is Logic 9 just horrible for creating SMF's for use with another program or the midi file player. I love Logic and use it to create my SMF's for live performance because the editing is so easy and creative. Please help...don't want to have to re-create songs in another program that handles SMF export better..i.e. Cubase or Sonar LE...Help.
Thanks
