Logic Pro problem resizing the score PDF export

I'm a bit of a newb when it comes to graphics, here's something that has me stumped.

I want to use examples from Logic score as images on a website, they need to be about 600px wide.

When I export a page of the score via PDF (camera tool) it is a huge image, and so I resize it in photoshop, but the lines of the staff always go very blurred.

Does anyone know a good way to do this and keep the lines nice and sharp looking?

PS: yes, I could do a screenshot, but there seems to be no way to lose the padlock icons you get as guides when you have changed the bar layout, plus the background is cream not white.

How about
  • Print the score in Logic to pdf file
  • Open in the pdf file in Preview
  • Here you can make your screenshot
  • Open the screenshot in Preview again and resize it to 600width (no Photohop required)
Of course, the smaller the size, the less resolution (possible blurriness) occurs.

Hi Edgar, many thanks. I did try that but it still seems a bit fuzzy. I would like to get it back to the sharpness I see on Logic.

maybe in Logic I need to show a smaller size page.

Also, I can't find how to resize excatly to 600px or whatever in preview, only the crude changes via the + and - icons.

How do you get an exact size?

It is grayed out because you might have a pdf file.

Yes, I was meaning the default export from Logic which is PDF.

I have since found a reasonable way which is to set the page setup at slightly smaller than A5, then export as PDF and in Photoshop reduce to 10%. This ends up at 640 and looks quite decent.
