Logic Pro Problem with step input

Hi. I have a new problem with step input into piano roll via the keyboard. Every note I enter is written double - that is to say if I delete a note it's still there unless I delete it again. Or if I take the note and drag it up or down or sideways the original note is still there. This does not happen when I create a note by right clicking to create note. Does anyone else have this problem and can anyone help please?

Is it just step input this happens with? I've known this happen with keyboards but if so all notes would be duplicate, e.g. any recording you do

Ah I see we were replying at the same time.

So yes, as the keyboard was sending two notes at once it couldn't have only been step input
