Hi guys, im sorry to bother you with this nooby question...

but its been a solid 3 days and ive been searching the internet for a solution to my problem but nothing is coming up for my specific situation.

|:|THE PROBLEM|:|

I've put everything in the right folders and have quit and rebooted logic and scanned for the AUs countless times already but when i go to insert the virtual instrument there is nothing there. Im quite new to all of this so my technical jargon is definatly not up to par... but i do have pictures that might give you an idea of what i mean

I think (thinking hasnt done very much for me with this) that it has something to do with the fact that the node isn't checked off? But i have no idea. Please someone just slap me in the face and tell me its an easy fix... Thanks in advance

Where exactly are you trying to instantiate the instruments? Make sure you are using a software instrument channel strip, and that you are trying to instantiate it from the input field, and not from the insert field.

Logic doesn't use VSTs - that folder path will not help you. The component folder is what you want. I'm going to assume the path to that point is correct as everything shows up in Logic's AU window.

So, I think Eli's advice is what I'd give you. See if that doesn't work. FYI, that's the same way you would load an instance of the EXS24 or ES2 for example.

Lastly, things get a little funny on the menu items when you're in 64 bit mode and looking for a 32 bit plug-in.

There are some excellent tutorials and books around - check Eli's sig, as well as material from LUGers Orren Merton and Doug Zangar, .

Looking at various youtube clips about Logic, lets just say, quality varies very considerably from good, helpful information to ill informed ranting ....

kind regards

Mark
