The Logic Pro 9 "Stereo Out" issue is well documented on this forum, but I was wondering if there is a work around that I have not been able to find. I went to Pro Tools because of this annoying issue. Now with the recent Avid debacle with PT10, I need to make Logic work for my set up.
Here is what I want to do:
8 Out of Logic to my converter to sub mixer (Logic Outs 1-8 )
2 Out to my my Stereo Mytek DAC for monitors (Logic Outs 9-10 )
Logic forces the outs to be STEREO OUTS "1 -2 ". I know in Logic Prefs you can set this to any other stereo pair (9-10 in my case). BUT if you do that, Logic renders outs 1-2 useless. Is there any way to change the stereo outs to 9-10 and still have outs 1-2 available for my mixer? Is there a work around in the environment?
Equipment:
Mac Pro 2 x 2
6 Gigs Ram
RME HDSPe Card to Mytek 8 x1 92 and Mytek Stereo DAC (for Monitors).
Logic Pro 9.
I would appreciate any help that you can offer.
Thanks,
Anthony
