Hi
My name is Jim and after some early experience as a guitarist way back in the 60s I decided to take up playing again about ten years ago.
I love jazz, blues and some rock. Two years ago I fell into the world of the DAW and have been fascinated with a technology that can create so much great music. The DAW has redefined the essence of being a musician. That is, you can create beautiful music without being able to play an instrument well.
I have viewed many videos and read about music production using Logic pro 9, and I think that I have now grasped a basic understanding of how it works. I now wish to move into the area of music production that I love, which is jazz, swing, blues, etc.
Most videos and books generally cover modern music production - e.g. Hip hop, house, dubstep, etc. While these ars good areas with a lot of instruction about logic pro, I would like to make contact with musicians using logic for jazz, swing, blues, etc.
So can someone guide me to the appropriate corners of this forum?
Best.
Jim
