record 18 channel simultaneously with iPad?

Hi Luggers,

I've been away from the forum quite sometime and all those time I have a question that bugged my thought. Moderators, please move my post if it is OOT here,

I'm thinking to switch to iPad for my mobile recording and from what I've seen so far, iPad got what it takes to record a live performance for example. I also found out that we can connect simple USB audio interface via iPad camera connection kit.

So one thing that I haven't found out yet (still searching though), say we have the right DAW, the right audio interface. Is it possible to connect a 18-channel USB audio interface to iPad and record 18 tracks simultaneously via camera connection kit?

I haven't got an iPad yet but I'm seriously thinking to get one if my question above is possible and works.

Sorry if this is kind of way out of topic but LUG is one of the best places for brainstorming on something like this.
Got any inputs?

I own a V2 version and I highly doubt it could do this at one time. Maybe 2 at a time, but not 18 for sure.
