Logic Pro Recorded tracks not appearing in mixer - Logic 11

Hi all
Just upgraded to Logic 11 and I am unable to see recorded tracks in the mixer. Only one out of twelve recorded guitar tracks is showing in the mixer. I have found that when I add another audio track some or all of the missing guitar tracks then appear in the mixer but then disappear as I continue to work on this song. Any suggestions?
Rob

PS I have a screenshot on my Mac desktop but can't work out how to insert it using a URL as required on the Insert Image icon.

For clarification, tracks are usually referred to as the "stems" in the arrange window.

Channels refer to the channels on the mixer section, so can you confirm which you can't see.

If you want to upload screenshots, I suggested Uploading to Google drive and then sharing that URL (make it public first), here

Sorry to chime in here.

"Stem" is a very specific term used to describe the audio material being delivered to either a mixing or mastering engineer, or to a film editor. A stem usually contains a submix, like all woodwind tracks or all vocal tracks etc..

Back to the original question:

Tracks are tracks and channels are channels. Tracks are in the main window (used to be called the arrange window is now called the Tracks window).

Channels are what you see in the mixer.

Here is what you need to understand: One channel can have many tracks. In the case of audio tracks only one region can be heard on one channel at any point in the timeline.

So what happened in your case was that while recording Logic created more tracks but all those regions of recorded audio are all playing through the same channel. If you want to hear all the takes at the same time then you need to create more channels.

Here is the respective chapter of the Logic manual: Intro to tracks in Logic Pro for Mac
