Logic Pro 9 Reinstalling Logic

I have a bug in my system. The audio waveforms are not showing up in the arrange page after recording. I was thinking about reinstalling Logic again. Is there a "right" way to do this, or can I simply reinstall the program over the top of the last install?

Hi, are you using MacBook or any kind of a Mac that is using shared video memory from the RAM and not from the graphics card ?

This is just something that I read from some other forum, but the video RAM or the lack of it could be the cause of waveforms not showing after recording.
I don't think you will gain anything installing Logic again.

Similar with me, but probably a little more weird: I had the problem in the previous version but it magically solved itself, so it simply wasn't happening anymore after a while. And it didn't come back with 9.1.1 either.

I actually don't think there was a pro app update during that time, but I seem to remember something QT related, maybe that could've had something to do with it as well. Anyway, at least over here everything's more or less fine now (apart from Logic still redrawing waveforms when loading existing songs occasionally for whatever nonsensical reasons...). Has been driving me nuts for quite a while.

Yeah well. Fine with me, too.
Now, if they'd only fix the "recorded region not selected anymore" bug and the issues with "capture last take". These are really driving me crazy more than most other issues I've been running into during the last number of years.
I learned to live with (and communicate about, hmpf...) bugs more or less fine, but these two are absolutely destroying quite some of the things I always loved about Logic.

Understood and agreed, but we'll be hijacking the thread to further the rant.

So, hopefully foxymoron will resolve the issue at hand and post results.....
