Logic Pro 8 remote sl 25 have vanished on controller list

Ive just re-installed logic 8 as part of my laptops spring clean.
I went to use my novation remote sl and it no longer appears as an option in the set up list .
Ive got automap installed on both laptop and updated onto the novation but neither want to talk to each other.
Am i missing a point folks ? ( aprt from the one about 25sl's being nbg.)

NBG = No Bloody Good? Frankly I never heard people dissing the 25SL 🙂

Anyway, I have a 25SL, and I did set it up with Logic on my desktop G5 once, though I never connected it again as I just use it with my Macbook for live performance. However I remember that to get Logic to acknowledge it initially took some fiddling, and I had to follow the instructions that came with the SL carefully. This was with Logic 7, mind. I guess I'm saying maybe you should go check the instructions again in case the process is explained there 🙂
