Logic Pro 9 Revers

Hallo everyone!
I have a weird problem and I was hoping someone could help me out.

I'm trying to make a drum beat made out of 2 tracks, a normal beat and a revers track of the beat.
I record my track - duplicate it - and then revers the new track.

for some reason, logic automatically revers both the original track and the duplicated one.

Anybody has any ideas on how to solve this??

I record my track - duplicate it - and then revers the new track.

The duplication is the problem. Bear in mind that the duplicated region uses the original audio. So you can bounce the original region and label it as "Beat2" or what else. Now you can reverse the bounced copy.
Another scenario is to use EXS24 etc.

You can also use the Arrange Window's Audio menu command "convert regions to new audio files" on the copied region.
